Nathan Mullen of Bloomer, Wis., received the Ann Baggett Beaster Endowed Scholarship, Frank Cervenka Memorial Scholarship and Ober E. Haug Endowed Scholarship. Mullen is majoring in Engineering Technology.
Scholarships valued at more than $580,000 were awarded to 303 UW-Stout students this year through the Stout University Foundation at a reception on campus Sept. 13. Many of the scholarship donors personally presented the awards.
Established in 1962, the Stout University Foundation Scholarship Program has helped more than 7,400 students receive a college education. Through the financial support of alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the university the program has awarded more than $9.5 million.
UW-Stout, Wisconsin's Polytechnic University, is a special mission university in the UW System. The university has a long-standing reputation of serving business, industry, education and the helping professions through its specialized educational programs.
