Joshua Diegel receives UW-Stout scholarship

Joshua Diegel of Neenah, Wis., received the Philip H. McGuirk Hotel, Restaurant and Tourism Management Scholarship; Theodore C. Widder Jr. Endowed Scholarship; Club Managers Association of America, Stout Student Chapter (CMAA) Annual Scholarship. Diegel is majoring in hotel, restaurant and tourism management.

Scholarships valued at more than $600,000 were awarded to 320 University of Wisconsin-Stout students this year through the Stout University Foundation at a reception on campus Sept. 12. Many of the scholarship donors and members of the board of directors personally presented the awards.

Established in 1962, the Stout University Foundation Scholarship Program has helped more than 7,750 students receive a college education. Through the financial support of alumni, parents, faculty, staff and friends of the university the program has awarded more than $10 million.

UW-Stout, Wisconsin's Polytechnic University, is a special mission university in the UW System. The university has a long-standing reputation of serving business, industry, education and the helping professions through its specialized educational programs.
